Armistead Wellford Portrait Artist

Armistead Wellford is a traditional portrait painter. A native Virginian, Armistead has been painting all his life. As a boy, he attended the VCU summer programs and the Schuler School of Art in Baltimore, Maryland where he focused on Classical Realism. He returned as an adult to fine tune his classical old master style portraiture. Armistead also received a BFA in graphic design from the University of Georgia.

Now he exercises those many talents oil painting subject matter that deals with primarily with portraits of human and animals.
